What's the Buzz?

So it's been a month and A LOT has happened so far in my life, but because this is the internet I must attend to your needs and interests so I thought I would share the greatest craziest thing that has happened to me

ME AND MY ROOMMATE MADE IT TO THE FRONT PAGE OF BUZZFEED

Like seriously, what just happened?

Here is the link if you want to see:
http://www.buzzfeed.com/paulyj/student-turns-roommate-into-a-variety-of-disney-ch-k8xw

If any of you saw it beforehand, now you know, that was me

Basically for a while now I have been taking snapchats of my roommate throughout the year .... and drawing him as different Disney characters... and putting dirty captions on them .... without him knowing.

But I mean, I did end up telling him what I was mass sending to 15+ people at a time.. just, you know, after I had drawn it and sent it to everyone and even posted it on the "MyStory"

Anyway, so basically for a while people would make comments on how much they loved the Snapchats I would send and how its "BuzzFeed-worthy" but I just didn't know how to become "BuzzFeed-Official" you know?  So I went on BuzzFeed, found out you can make your own article, and then it posts on BuzzFeed Community.  I thought nothing of it and then just thought it was for fun... then I got an email

The email quickly told me how my article had made it to the front of BuzzFeed Community .... then I got another email within the hour that then read:
YOUR ARTICLE HAS JUST BEEN POSTED TO THE FRONT OF BUZZFEED

WHAT

(How I Imagine People's Reactions Were Looking at the Article On Mobile)

In less than 24 hours, my article hit more than 100,000 views and I could not believe it, everyone was telling me "Oh, you better not get a big head from this"... but honestly, I could not even figure out what had just happened to me.  Anyway, to be honest I am not typing this all out just to show off or get more views on my article (Did I mention I posted the link above and you should check it out? haha) but rather to prove to people that taking chances can be a lot of fun and can add awesome memories to your lives.

Because I took the risk to post this article (with my roommates consent), we can both officially use the sentence:

"Hey, remember that time we made it to the front of BuzzFeed?"

Can You?

Maybe you have an even cooler sentence to say and that is awesome, PROUD OF YOU!

Attack of Burritozilla!

I sincerely apologize that this is another food post but then again I don't really apologize completely because I love food and everyone loves food and even if you are on a diet, you love food so sit back and enjoy this sight.

No, those are not posters rolled up in foil.  Those are none other than Burritozillas.

5 Pounds of Pure Burrito with meat, rice, beans, cheese, salsa, and pure destruction sitting in enough foil to cover an infant in for a good nights rest

You can find this monstrosity at Taqueria Iguana in Santa Clara or in two different locations in San Jose and my friends and I were crazy enough  to try it out.  Well.... at least me and another friend were
  • One of my friends ordered a regular burrito knowing he would not even make a dent in the thing
  • And the other friend gave us moral support whilst secretly knowing we would not finish it and waited to eat some of the leftover burrito (The real winner in this story)

When we first started we had no idea how to handle this culinary monstrosity so I cut mine in half and decided to just take it in portions hoping that would work.  My friend, as you can see from above, went hardcore hispanic caveman on this thing and just went for it... as you can see in the second picture he needed one of the other guys to hold the lower end of the burrito because this thing was so big.  My friend definitely did not eat as much as I did (not sure if I am proud of that) and as you can see from the pictures most of it ended up on his plate so no offense to him but he was not very fierce of a competitor but it was still fun!

Not sure how it looks on the computer but that picture above is how much I left and was unable to finish.  It was basically a little bit more than a regular burrito and honestly I think that 5lb burrito may have been a bit more than 5 pounds but I just thought I would share that with you all and give you the swell tip to prepare more physically and mentally because me eating a bento box for lunch that day was probably not the best idea :p

One Note a Day, Keeps Unhappiness Away

Today I am going to discuss the importance of finding happiness in life.  HOLD ON HOLD ON! DON'T LEAVE I PROMISE I WILL NOT CONVERT YOU TO SOME NEW RELIGION

This post is about a little project of my own where everyday I recognize at least one thing that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I took one of those "family-sized" Martinelli's Apple Juice jugs and after "my family finished it" (haha let's be real I downed that thing in less than half a week), I washed it out, and found some sticky note pads lying around.

Every day all I do is take a sticky note and write down one thing that made me happy that day, put a smile on my face, and/or made me feel good/proud of myself.

I started April 6, 2012 and so far have been doing well.  Whenever I go out of town you won't find me lugging around a huge jug with pieces of paper in it but at the end of each day (or after the trip) I just look back on the day (or days) and pull out my phone and type in what I would have written on a sticky on my NOTES page in my phone and just write it on stickies once I'm back

Now that I have explained how to do it... I CHALLENGE YOU TO TRY IT OUT!

Seriously though, what have you got to lose?

SPOILER: The answer is nothing, you have absolutely nothing to lose except some sticky notes and a jug that used to have apple juice or whatever beverage you like to consume

If you have certainly NO IDEA of what you would write, this is your lucky day because I am sharing examples.  NOTHING YOU WRITE DOWN IS STUPID

EXAMPLES
  • Finished reading ____________ after (only a day) [or] (four years of trying to read)
  • Snagged the last chocolate croissant at Starbucks
  • Took a nice warm shower and just relaxed after a long grueling day
  • Long line of traffic on way home but radio played awesome tunes
  • Was nostalgic and watched old TV Shows from when I was a kid
  • Had (meal) with mom/dad/sibling/grandparent/friend
  • Found a heads up penny!
  • Made bomb tacos
  • Slept in until 4pm (Don't do that haha)

Once Again, NOTHING YOU WRITE DOWN IS STUPID

I myself am so excited for April 6, 2013 to come so I can see all that happened to me in a year and most likely start over for my next year of happiness to begin :)

Here is my jug with my favorite quote "Those who are most happy in life have no reason for being happy, except that they are so"... and if you really think you need a reason to be happy: Do this and when you look back in a year, you can find
